BBM for iPhone was Submitted to the App Store 2 Weeks Ago

Still holding out for BBM for iPhone? Alex Kinsella, Senior Strategic Account Manager at BlackBerry sent out the following tweet yesterday to let everyone know the app was submitted to Apple for approval two weeks ago:

In early August it was reported the company started rolling out BBM for iOS to Beta Zone testers.

BlackBerry previously promised BBM on iOS would launch this summer–which officially ends on September 21 in the northern hemisphere. Last week a landing page for BBM for iPhone briefly surfaced on the company’s website but was soon removed.

Are you excited to try BBM for iPhone?

Didn’t BlackBerry announce this like several years ago? I could be wrong. In any case, BlackBerry has been at death’s door for years now. Ain’t nobody care about that shit any more.

I honestly think bbm will be the number 1 app for messaging in the app store once released. Older blackberries are still being used in third world countries hence thats the reason Samsung is marketing BBM in africa(to steal away customers).

It could definitely jump into a top spot–only because of curious iOS users who will also delete it as quickly as they downloaded it.

It’s too late. BBM is dead. Why continue to flog a dead horse.
