Waiting for news also. Everything else is useless.

As slicecom pointed out, there’s already an (excellent) CBC News app. The CBC TV app also includes every Kids in the Hall episode (albeit with unskippable – unless you’re fast telling Siri to skip – ads)!

If you want real news you have to pay for it. Any free or tax subsidized news source will be skewed towards false realities and propaganda.

I’ll bite. How does paying for something increase its likelihood of aligning with some standard of objectivity? Bias is everywhere and business models are built based on marketing to people with a particular view.

Aren’t “false realities and propaganda” just terms for what doesn’t line up with your personal point of view? I mean, I could subscribe to The Rebel and would find it objectionably right wing and Donald Trump paying for The New York Times doesn’t mean he wouldn’t still call it fake news.

It’s just an app announcement. If the app doesn’t align with your view of things, don’t install it. Convincing others of the evils of CBC maybe isn’t the hill to try taking on a tech news site.

There’s been a CBC News app for AppleTV for over a year now.

It’s about time! Have had the News app since it launched, so i’ve been waiting for this. Now, all we need are CTV & Global.

That’s very good news! The more Canadian content we get on Apple TV, the better.

The CBC is an insult to our intelligence. I prefer real news, not propaganda and false realities.
