If you’re an avid player (addict) of Supercell’s wildly popular Clash of Clans, the developers have announced a major feature request will soon be granted: the ability to rename your village.
Previously, village names were permanent but after hearing feedback from players, the company has decided to bring forth the option in an upcoming update:
We’ve heard you — we’ve heard you loud and clear. All Clashers want a village with the best possible name, and so many of you have written in to ask for a chance to change the name of it.
So, that’s why we’re currently working on a feature that will let you (yes, you!) change your village’s name in-game, in case you’re unhappy with your current username and would like a new handle.

There’s no word on the timeframe for this update, but Supercell says it will arrive when “everything is ready”, and asks its fans to hold on for a bit longer.
Last month, Finland-based Supercell announced annual revenues of $1.7 billion for 2014, tripling numbers compared to a year ago.
