Disney+ Hits Over 10 Million Sign-Ups After One Day

Disney has announced its Disney+ streaming service is off to a fast start, already surpassing 10 million sign-ups since launching on November 12, 2019, according to CNBC.

As for app downloads on iOS and Android, data from Apptopia estimates the Disney+ app was downloaded 3.2 million times (via Variety), with about 89% of downloads coming from the United States, 9% from Canada and 2% from the Netherlands.

The Disney+ iOS app is currently the number one downloaded app in the App Store.

Heavy demand for the Disney+ streaming service resulted in some outages for users, unable to sign up, log in or stream. Still, services resumed later in the afternoon and evening. We’ve already started our quest of watching the first 30 seasons of The Simpsons from the very beginning.
