You Can Now Download iOS 14.6 for iPhone and More

Apple has released iOS 14.6 for download for iPhone users, along with iPadOS 14.6, watchOS 7.5, tvOS 14.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.4.

The release of iOS 14.6 comes days after the second release candidate was made available for developers, signalling a public release was imminent.

Apple’s iOS 14.6 comes in as an 869.1MB download for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The release includes support for Apple Card Family (in the USA) and also Podcasts subscriptions.

• Apple Card Family (USA)
• Podcast subscriptions for channels, shows
• AirTag and Find My: you can now add an email to Lost mode instead of a phone number; AirTag will show the partially masked number of the owner when tapped with an NFC device
• Accessibility: Voice Control users can now unlock with their voice after a restart

iOS 14.6 bug fixes:

• Unlock with Apple Watch may not work after using Lock iPhone on Apple Watch
• Reminders may appear as blank lines
• Call blocking extensions may not appear in Settings
• Bluetooth devices may sometimes disconnect or send audio to a different device during a call
• iPhone may experience reduced performance during startup

As for watchOS 7.5, it launches the ECG app in Malaysia and Peru, along with support for irregular heart rhythm notifications.

As part of Exposure Notifications in iOS 14.6, Apple is working on asking users with a positive test result if they have received a vaccine.
