Apple has just released macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 RC 2, build 20B28 which is now available to download for the developers.
Here’s what Apple notes about the release:
“This RC version can be used to build, test, and submit apps to the App Store.
Note: The term “Release Candidate” (RC) replaces “GM seed” and indicates this version is near final.”
At its “One More Thing” digital event earlier today, Apple announced that macOS Big Sur will be released for download to the general public on November 12.
With MacOS Big Sur running on Macs with the new M1 chip, launching apps is nearly instantaneous, Apple said. Safari will be almost twice as responsive, and apps that require strong performance to render 3D animations or edit raw video footage will run more smoothly.
