Facebook Stories allows you to share moments similar to Instagram Stories and Snapchat. The feature today has gained the ability to share events you’re interested in with friends, in the form of a new sticker.
When you’re visiting an event page on Facebook, a new option now appears called ‘Share to your Story’. This option will create a tappable sticker within your story, showing event details such as time and location, plus allowing your friends to show interest to attend or not. Friends will see who is interested and who is going to the event, making it easy to coordinate meetups or group chats.
Facebook told iPhone in Canada in a statement, “By introducing events in stories, we’re giving people the ability to share with friends before the event and capture their experiences in the moment during the event to feel more connected with their friends and community in the real world.”
This feature to share Events in Stories began testing last month in the U.S., Brazil and Mexico, but is now available in Canada and globally.
