Earlier today, Square Enix quietly announced that Final Fantasy IX is coming to iOS, Android, and PC.
The report notes that this version of the game is likely just an emulated version of the original Playstation game. Here is the full trailer for Final Fantasy IX:
Square Enix says that in order to play the game you will have to have a relatively recent iOS device running iOS 7.0 or later to play.
“With high-definition graphics, newly added achievements, auto-save, high speed mode, and several game boosting features, the game is easy to pick up and play no matter where you go.”
The game will be released for iOS, Android, and PC later this year.

Sweet! I hope they plan on bringing VIII (8) over too. That was my most favourite. 8 was the last one before SquareSoft merged into SquareEnix. Then the serious military based stories got all childish and less intense.
