Foodora bike delivery staff in their signature pink
Earlier this week, food delivery service foodora launched in Ottawa, Ontario, allowing customers in the city to order meals via the company’s mobile apps.
Foodora debuted its delivery in Ottawa on April 24th, with over 50 restaurant partners, supported by the company’s fleet of bringing meals to customers by car or bike.
“As foodora continues to evolve and innovate, we’re looking to bring our memorable customer experience – both on and off the app – to more Canadian cities,” says David Albert, managing director, foodora Canada, in an issued statement. “Our latest market expansion to Ottawa means we can connect more Canadians with a variety of new and loved restaurants and cuisines – plus, we have some big things in store for Ottawa.”
Foodora says they recently rolled out a cutlery opt-out feature at checkout, in time for Earth Day 2019, for customers to help reduce plastic waste.
The company’s iOS and Android apps allow mobile orders from various restaurants, with a flat delivery fee of $1.49. Those signing up under a friend means each party can earn $10 credit towards their next order.
