Google has announced its Assistant-powered smart displays, such as the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max can now stream Disney+ in select markets, including Canada, just by using your voice.

A Google Canada spokesperson confirmed the feature is rolling out in select markets worldwide, including Canada. All you need to do is link your Disney+ subscription within the Google Home or Google Assistant app.

As of writing, the option to link Disney+ is not showing up yet in Canada, as only Netflix, YouTube Kids and JOYN are listed as video services able to play content via Assistant.

When the option to link your Disney+ subscription is available, you’ll be able to say something like, “Hey Google, play ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+” and the video will start streaming on your smart display.

Back in July, Google announced support for Netflix streaming on Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max in Canada, but the rollout officially came three days later. This may also be the case for Disney+ support, but we’ve reached out for clarification.

Click here to sign up for Disney+ in Canada—it costs $8.99/month or $89.99/year.
