Google Nest Hub Max Rolling Out Zoom Calling in Canada
Google has announced it is rolling out an early preview of Zoom video calling on Nest Hub Max, available soon in Canada, the U.S., UK, and Australia, according to the company in an email to iPhone in Canada.
Those with free or paid Zoom accounts will be able to ask Google Assistant to launch a Zoom call on their Nest Hub Max, taking advantage of the latter’s Nest Camera, by saying “Hey Google, join my next meeting” or “Hey Google, start a Zoom call.”
Google says “because no one likes when their video call freezes mid-sentence, a good internet connection and solid Wi-Fi are a must. To help with that, Google Wifi and Nest Wifi just got even better by auto-detecting and prioritizing video conferencing on Google Meet and Zoom Meetings.”
In order to get started with Zoom on your Hub Max, you’ll need to link your Zoom account with your Google account prior.
Google says for Meet video calls, they are unlimited for up to 24 hours, through March 31, 2020.
