Google One Apps Gets Phone Backup, New Storage Manager Tool

Google One, a subscription service from Google that offers expanded cloud storage, live support, and other member benefits, has just received a storage management tool and the ability to automatically back up your phone in the new and improved Google One app for Android and soon for iOS as well.

Google says the new automatic phone backup will be available for all Android users, even if they don’t have a Google One membership. For iOS users, the upcoming new app will offer the ability to store photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events by using the free 15 GB of storage that comes with your Google Account.

At the same time, Google has also added a new storage manager in the Google One app and on the web, which gives you an easy way to see how you’re using your storage and free up space by getting rid of the ones you no longer need.

And if you need more storage and want the full Google One experience, you can always upgrade to a Google One membership right from the app. With plans of all sizes, you can get the additional storage you need at a price that works for you, starting at $1.99/month. As a member, you can share your plan with up to five additional family members, access live help with anything Google, and get benefits including premium support and family sharing.

The new features will be rolling out for Android in the coming days, and the iOS app will be available to download soon as well.
