iFixit has started dismantling Apple’s iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro smartphones. There is a live video teardown underway right now, detailing the internals of the iPhone 13 lineup.
iFixit will eventually share its full overview of its iPhone 13 lineup teardown, but for now, we do get a look at the battery shapes of the new iPhones. The iPhone 13 Pro has an “L” shaped battery, compared to the regular rectangular shape compared to the iPhone 12 Pro. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 12 batteries have regular shaped batteries.
iFixit was able to take another iPhone battery and insert it into an iPhone 13, and said it does indeed work fine, but with caveats. However, battery warnings do pop up within Settings.
