What’s New in iOS 10.1 Beta 2 [VIDEO]
Earlier this week, Apple released iOS 10.1 beta 2 for developers and yesterday for Public Beta testers. If you want to find out what’s new in this smaller release, YouTube channel EverythingApplePro has detailed the changes in a new video.
In a nutshell, here’s what’s new:
- Notifications are now working from the Lockscreen
- New: option to replay iMessage effects
- Reduce Motion – Auto Play Message Effects now actually works
- No more dots indicator dots in the sending GIF/app menu within iMessage
- Fix for iPad motion data handling
Of course, iOS 10.1 beta comes with the new Portrait camera mode (beta) for iPhone 7 Plus users. The effect works well in its early stages and in the right lighting, is downright impressive. Check out our recent image taken below (iOS 10.1 beta 1):

As for Geekbench results, beta 2 saw a score just slightly lower than beta 1, but overall, the beta is deemed “smooth” and “works well.”
