iPadOS 13.2 Beta 2 ‘Bricking’ Some iPads, Apple Pulls Update

Yesterday, Apple rolled out the second beta of iPadOS 13.2 (17B5068e), alongside iOS 13.2 beta 2, watchOS 6.1 beta 3, and tvOS 13.2 beta 2. However, it appears that Apple has now pulled iPadOS 13.2 as a number of beta testers have reported the update was broken for iPad Pro users.

A discussion thread on the Apple Developer Forums shows that some users are unable to verify iPadOS 13.2 beta 2 after installation, although iPhone users don’t seem to have any problem with the update.

Below are some users responses from the thread:

“iPad 11Pro, reset network, reinstalled beta cert, tried wifi, cellular, vpn; all same response. Still won’t verify…”

“Tried installing several times, I guess we will have to wait for the next beta….”

“And same here. Tried deleting and reloading the update. Still won’t verify. Apple needs to fix.”

“I can confirm that mine bricked.  mine verified and then got stuck at basically 100% on the thermometer during the install.  the only option was to do the up vol, down vol, then hold in the top button until it went into recovery mode.  i than had an option to update once plugged in but to the 13.1.2 version.

Apple has not yet issued any statement regarding the issue. If you’re a developer tester, well just beware of iPadOS 13.2, even though it’s no longer available.
