iPhone 11 Launch Date: September 20, 2019, Suggests Softbank President

If history repeats itself, we should see another September iPhone event, and at this point, it most likely will happen like clockwork. The only thing about this year’s event is predicting the exact launch date.

According to the Japanese multinational company based in Tokyo, its president, Ken Miyauchi, responded to a reporter question about upcoming changes to the country’s Telecommunications Business Law and alluded to knowledge about the next iPhone launch.

Miyauchi’s answer implies ‘iPhone 11’ will debut on September 10, 2019, reports Mac Otakara.

Starting October 1, 2019, the Telecommunications Business Law in Japan will require carriers to unbundle wireless pricing and data plans. The president was asked how this change would affect Softbank.

Below is a translation of Miyauchi’s answer shared by Mac Otakara:

“iPhone will be released in the middle of September, how will it going to be until 30th of September since the iPhone will be started to be sold ?” asked a media reporter, Miyauchi answered “Honestly, wondering what should I do but about for 10 days, no I should stop say that. Anyway I don’t know when to release the new iPhone however almost after 10 days, it will be unbundled, and it will be making bundle after that.”

According to Miyauchi, the iPhone 11 may launch on Friday, September 20, 2019. The ’10 days’ wait implies how many days after he would after a potential iPhone special event.

Apple’s 2018 event was held on September 12th. For 2019, September 10 falls on a Tuesday, which may be when an Apple event would be held, with sales to start on Friday, September 20, 2019.

Anyways, we’re getting close to an ‘iPhone 11’ launch, with leaks of dummy units widespread, showing off new models with more rear cameras, but sticking to the design ethos of last year’s models.
