Tech journalist Brian Tong has released one of the best iPhone 12 versus iPhone 12 Pro camera specs comparison videos, as he lays out the key differences from all iPhone 12 models. Tong says he made the video “because Apple wouldn’t do it.”
“If you thought Apple’s iPhone 12 lineup cameras specs were confusing, you weren’t the only one. This is everything you need to know about the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max’s camera specs in easy to read tables. Someone had to do it,” explains Tong, formerly from CNET’s Apple beat.
Check out Brian’s video below to see why he calls out his famous “that’s a bad apple” when it comes to Apple’s iPhone 12 cameras:
If you can’t decide between iPhone 12/iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, this video couldn’t have come at a better time.
Here are two tables from Tong’s video comparing iPhone 12 mini versus iPhone 12 versus iPhone 12 Pro versus iPhone 12 Pro Max when it comes to the 12MP camera system for photos:
Here’s another table Tong made for iPhone 12 vs iPhone 12 Pro camera specs when it comes to video:
As for camera features all iPhone 12 models will have? Tong also details them in one list below:
As you can see from the charts, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 camera systems are the same, so it’s easy. But when it comes to iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, there are enough subtle differences to make you come to a decision to spend more, if you want the best camera.
Last year, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max had the same cameras and features. But this year, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are different, when really they should be the same. Not everybody wants a larger iPhone, just to get the best camera system (praying for your skinny jeans, Brian).
Apple will launch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro pre-orders tomorrow, starting at 5AM PDT/8AM EDT, October 16.
