‘iPhone 6’ Makes Top 10 in Yahoo Canada’s 2014 Searches

As we inch toward the end of the year, companies are taking a look back at 2014, and Yahoo Canada is no exception. Following their UK release, today Yahoo Canada announced the annual Year in Review highlighting the top 10 terms Canadians were searching for this year.

IPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Although the presence of Apple devices in the top 10 list was limited to the iPhone 6, the most impressive of all is that the term was second-most-searched-for this year in the full list of Top 10 Searches for Yahoo Canada, right after Robin Williams.

Besides the top search terms, the Year in Review includes the following categories: top newsmakers of the year, the biggest stories of 2014, in memoriam, top sport searches of the year, top Yahoo Canada cartoons of the year, and biggest songs of 2014.

Below you can find the full list of the Top 10 Searches for Yahoo Canada in 2014:

1. Robin Williams
2. iPhone 6
3. Jennifer Lawrence
4. Rob Ford
5. ISIS
6. Kate Middleton
7. Malaysia Airlines
8. Ebola virus
9. Joan Rivers
10. Frozen

isn’t the default search engine on iPhone Yahoo out of the box?

Also new information came through, iPhone 6 was actually 37th in the list, after search words like Porn, and sex. 😛 j/k

Thanks Yahoo for letting us know what the quirky I-still-use-Yahoo demographic is doing.
