‘M2 MacBook Pro 14’ to Reportedly Replace M1 MacBook Pro 13 in 2022
Following up on Bloomberg’s earlier report of a new low-end MacBook Pro slated for release this year, Apple leaker @DylanDKT has claimed that Apple will replace the current 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro with a new, cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro this year.
The leaker noted in a Tweet sent out earlier today that Apple plans to replace the 2021 M1 MacBook Pro 13 with a new 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring an M2 chip in the second half of 2022.
The new MacBook model will also get a slight bump in price over the current model, he added, while claiming that “we will receive the redesigned M2 MacBook (Air)” in the same release timeframe as well.
The currently available M1 MacBook Pro 13 will be replaced with a MacBook Pro 14 with an M2 chip in the 2H of 2022. It will receive a slight price increase over the previous generation. Alongside this release time frame, we will receive the redesigned M2 MacBook (Air).

In a subsequent tweet, the leaker added that the new lower-priced 2022 MacBook Pro will sport the same design as the existing M1 Pro and M1 Max 14-inch models.
DylanDKT has a pretty good track record of releasing accurate information about future Apple products.
