Some Netflix users on Apple TV have started to notice personalized user profiles showing up, as noted by MacRumors. These profiles allow individual users to set preferences and have suggestions tailored to their tastes, along with their own viewing history. This is a highly-anticipated feature for those with families using Netflix.
While the feature is not yet available to the general public, the infrastructure has been launched on the Apple TV. According to a Netflix customer service representative, Netflix users who previously set up profiles when using the DVD service will now see those profiles show up on the Apple TV.
Netflix first teased this feature at CES 2013, which is expected to debut “later this summer”. Let us know if you start to see these within Netflix on your Apple TV.
