Twitter’s Periscope Reportedly Building App for New Apple TV

Are you still addicted to watching live Periscope streams? Well, according to unnamed sources speaking with TechCrunch, the Twitter-owned app is currently developing a new app for the upcoming Apple TV:

Periscope is developing an app for the new Apple TV, according to multiple sources. It will allow users to watch livestreams on their television that are broadcasted from Twitter’s Periscope app.

The next Apple TV is said to debut with a new App Store, with a focus on gaming and support for Bluetooth controllers, on top of being a connected hub for your home, priced to start at $149 USD.

Twitter launched Periscope for iOS back in March and last month reported it had surpassed 10 million users, which these people watching “over 40 years of video” daily.

Apple is expected to announce its new Apple TV at its special event tomorrow, set to take place at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT. iPhone in Canada will be providing live coverage here, plus on Twitter.
