Apple has released a new ad titled “Privacy on iPhone – Private Side”, touting how the company’s smartphones are “designed to protect your information”:

Your privacy matters. From encrypting your iMessage conversations, or not keeping a history of your routes in Maps, to limiting tracking across sites with Safari. iPhone is designed to protect your information.

The video links to Apple’s website detailing its privacy, stating:

Every Apple product is designed from the ground up to protect that information. And to empower you to choose what you share and with whom.

We’ve proved time and again that great experiences don’t have to come at the expense of your privacy and security. Instead, they can support them.

The website also details Apple does not “gather your personal information to sell to advertisers or other organizations,” hinting at practices from other tech giants like Google and Facebook.

The ad concludes, “if privacy matters in your life, it should matter to the phone your life is on. Privacy. That’s iPhone.”
