Roku has introduced its Streaming Stick 4K and Streaming Stick 4K+, a pair of low-cost ways to stream content that include support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, as well as Apple platforms including AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K in Canada has dedicated Netflix, Roku Channel, Apple TV+ and Crave buttons on its remote.

According to a press release, the new Roku Streaming Stick 4K and Streaming Stick 4K+ bundle offer a huge upgrade over the existing Streaming Stick and add things that modern consumers want, like 4K, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.

The new Streaming Sticks features an updated processor that cuts boot times by 30 percent and incorporates a new long-range Wi-Fi receiver that delivers up to double the Wi-Fi speeds of the original device.

“The Roku Streaming Stick has been a fan favorite for years and we’ve redesigned it in the Roku Streaming Stick 4K to be faster and more powerful than ever,” said Mark Ely, Vice President, Retail Product Strategy at Roku, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada.

The streaming stick plugs directly into the back of TVs and offers the simple Roku interface with all the major apps such as Netflix and Disney+, as well as The Roku Channel, which includes over 25,000 hours worth of free content for customers.
