Tim Cook Charity Lunch Auction Reaches $180,000 with Less Than 24 Hours to Go

Last month Apple CEO Tim Cook joined Charity Buzz for yet another auction, this time for a lunch at Apple headquarters. With less than 24 hours to go before bidding ends, 27 bids have made the current auction price reach $180,000:

Cook’s auction is supporting the charity RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights. The lunch is valid for two people to join the CEO for 1 hour and—the cost of the meal is included. Scheduling for the lunch date can take up to one year and winners and their guests are subject to security screenings.

Last year, Cook also had a similar auction but for a coffee date, where bidding ended up at over $600,000. Although the current price may imply this particular auction isn’t as popular as last year, expect last second bidders tomorrow to possibly raise the price, similar to how you always lose out on eBay.
