Uber Eats Launches Alcohol Delivery in Toronto

You can now order a drink with your favourite food and get it delivered via Uber Eats in Toronto.

According to Uber Eats, the company tells iPhone in Canada restaurants such as Gusto 101, Gusto 501 and Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen in Toronto can bring you drinks with your meals.

“Uber is excited to offer beer, wine and liquor to pair with your favourite Uber Eats delivery. Whether it’s for a date-night-in or even a virtual happy hour, Ontarians can now have local and international beer, wine, and liquor delivered right to their door when they order through Uber Eats,” said Lola Kassim, General Manager of Uber Eats, in an issued statement.

Uber Eats says there are new processes and steps within the app to ensure the responsible delivery of alcohol. Steps include checking a customer’s photo ID and entering a customer’s date of birth within the Uber Driver app. Due to COVID-19, no signatures are being required to be collected from customers.
