If you’re looking to use memory foam tips with the AirPods Pro, the folks over at MacStories have a decent solution for you. They’ve successfully modded the AirPods Pro’s silicone tips with an extra memory foam layer, which helps the tips fit better in ears for a warmer sound and a more comfortable feel.
As you can see in the above photo, an extra memory foam layer has been fitted inside the AirPods Pro’s silicon tips. Until third-party manufacturers come up with a compatible clip that attaches to AirPods Pro and lets you use alternative tips, for now, this DIY mod offers the best solution.
The process involves taking a memory foam insert and sliding Apple’s silicone tips inside it so that the foam layer ends up sitting between the central plastic “stem” of the tip and its outer layer.
