Waze Voice Recorder Lets You Navigate Turn-by-Turn to Your Own Voice

Waze

Waze has today announced a new feature on its official blog called the ‘Voice Recorder’, that allows you to add an extra hit of personality to your turn-by-turn directions, by recording navigation prompts in your own voice.

The feature is coming soon to iOS, and will let you follow in the footsteps of Waze voice greats like Morgan Freeman, Keith Morrison, and recently added Mr. T and Pixar’s Cars 3 stars Lightning McQueen and Jackson Storm.

Ahem. Mic check, mic check. This one goes out to all of our fans.

Wazers, get ready for your moment in the spotlight, ’cause you get to be the newest of our #WazeVoices and record your own navigation prompts with our new Voice Recorder feature.

So, step up to the mic in Settings > Sound & Voice > Voice Recorder and sing, shout, yodel, or express yourself however you please. Just remember to be accurate, for safety’s sake (these are your turn-by-turn directions, after all).

To get started, simply head over to the app’s settings and locate Sound & Voice > Voice Recorder. The feature is now available for Android devices, with no specific release date so far for the iOS version.

Time to record stuff on my hubby’s phone. “turn right idiot”, “turn left moron” and see how that goes over.
