What’s New in Apple’s Seventh Beta of iOS 12

Today, Apple seeded (and then quickly removed) the seventh beta of iOS 12, only one week after seeding the sixth beta.

YouTuber EverythingApplePro has posted a video highlighting 15 new features of iOS 12. Messages gets some welcome improvements, including streamlined conversations, which are highlighted in a new splash screen.

Music users will now appreciate that you can sort by recently added. Scrolling in between photos now has a smoother animation. Several users have also said that you can activate an iPhone without a SIM card, however, this has not been confirmed.

iOS 12 introduced a ton of new features with a focus on making older devices faster and more responsive. On iPhone X, there are new Animoji characters and “Memoji”, which are customizable human Animoji. The update also brings a smarter Siri with new a new Shortcuts feature that allows you to create multi-step automations using first and third-party apps that take advantage of SiriKit.

Apple has also built in comprehensive time management and monitoring tools into iOS 12 with Screen Time, allowing you to keep track and limit the amount of time you can spend in apps. This also brings more robust parental controls for families.
