Tesla released its holiday software update on Christmas Day, version 2020.48.26, which brings a variety of new games and features, including a new ‘Boombox’ function which lets your electric vehicle play music and sounds from the outside.
When asked about when the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta would hit Canada, Tesla CEO Elon Musk provided an update on Saturday morning, reports Tesla North.
When asked by @kkvr2823 if FSD beta would still hit Canada in December, Musk responded, “There are subtle, important, differences between US & Canada traffic rules, but FSD beta will be extended to Canada very soon.”

Musk previously said he hoped FSD beta would “hopefully” land in Canada in December, but now it appears that may be delayed into 2021.
FSD beta is currently only available to a limited number of testers in the United States, and allows for driving from one destination to another without any interventions.
Tesla owners need to pay extra for the Autopilot add-on, as Full Self-Driving is priced at a whopping $10,600 CAD (it’s $10,000 USD in the U.S.).

Recent rumours have said Apple’s autonomous car efforts may debut in 2024 or 2025, with the iPhone maker said to have some breakthrough battery technology.
Musk responded to the report to say it was “strange, if true”, while also admitted Tim Cook refused to meet about acquiring Tesla, during the latter’s darkest days of its Model 3 launch.
