Olympic Apple Watch Bands to Launch, Like This Canadian Version

As the time to light the Olympic flame in Rio de Janeiro approaches, fashion brands are pushing out various products to ride that trend, and Apple is no exception. When the Olympic games will start next month, Apple will sell Olympic Apple Watch bands.

The bands will depict the national flags of 14 major competitors, so you if want to cheer on Team Canada, you can do it by wearing the band which depicts Canada’s national flag.

However, that band, which retails for USD$49, also requires a plane ticket to Brazil, so you better plan a vacation there during the Olympics if you want to own that Watch band. According to GQ’s sources, the only place you’ll be able to get those bands is the Apple Store at VillageMall in Barra da Tijuca.

GQ speculates that the limited-edition nylon bands will become collector’s items, which alongside showing your support for the team, are also “subtle enough to wear every day.”

Have a look at the bands, and let us know if this worth a trip to Brazil. Or how should I put it: do you love your Apple Watch enough to give it a facelift with any of these straps?
