Telus Extends $55+ Voice & Data Plan For iPhone

This week, Telus has extended their $55+ Voice and Data plan for iPhone until May 3, 2011.

For reference, the $55+ Voice and Data plan is detailed below:

  • Minutes: 200 daytime
  • Evenings/Weekends: Unlimited @ 6PM
  • Data: 1GB
  • Promotions: Unlimited Text/Picture/Video messages, My10 Nationwide, Free Voicemail 3
  • Data flex details: At the $55 price, users get 1GB of data. If that data amount is exceeded, instead of paying per MB overage fees, the plan is automatically bumped to $75 with 2GB of data. If 2GB of data is exceeded, the plan is bumped to $95 with 5GB of data. Anything over 5GB however is charged at $0.05/MB.

With this plan, an iPhone 4 is priced at $159/$269 for 16 GB/32 GB.

Note: This is not an April Fools gag.

Can this be added by existing customers without signing a new contract?

  • Now that question must have been an April Fools gag.

    Contract always required.

  • My buddy got this last week… it wasn’t advertised or anything…. we scored 🙂

My daughter just signed up for this plan and actually is getting way more form than she got with her Koodo plan and a jailbroken iPhone 3G. She’s very, very happy.

But she had to sign a contract to do that, right? I’m with Koodo and I think this is a pretty good deal. However it looks like I’d have to sign a contract to get this thus I’d be stuck with it if a better deal comes along.

  • Would the “Free voicemail” be visual voicemail?
