Over the last few months, Telus launched two promotions that gave customers six months of unlimited local calling and free 6PM early evenings ($7 value). The Canadian wireless carriers usually provide one month or no months of unlimited local calling, so to come out with six months is definitely a Canadian first.
Six Months Unlimited Local Calling Promotion
The six months unlimited calling promotion for Telus, released in March, was set to expire on May 31, 2010. Telus has now extended the six month unlimited calling promotion until August 3, 2010.
The six months unlimited local calling bonus is available on the following 3-year term in-market plans from Telus:
All new activations will automatically have the six months unlimited local calling bonus automatically added upon activation. The promotion is for new activations only (does not apply to existing customers).
6PM Early Evenings Promotion
Effective this week, new Telus customers that sign up on any Clear Choice iPhone plan will receive 6PM evenings for free ($7 value). This promotion originally expired on May 3, 2010 but has now been extended until further notice.
