Apple Canada Retail Stores Open At 7AM For iPhone 4 Launch

Today, Apple finally updated the webpages for the company’s retail stores to reflect the iPhone 4 launch.

Canadian Apple Retail stores will open at 7AM on Friday July 30, 2010 for the iPhone 4 launch. There will be lines and it is first come, first served. As we have said previously, there is a limit of two iPhones per customer.

iPhone 4 Purchasing Methods

Canadians will have three methods to get their iPhone 4:

1.) Canadians will be able to order the unlocked, full price iPhone 4 16/32GB in Black through the Apple Canada Online Store starting Friday July 30. Any online orders are shipped to the billing address (no store pickup).

2.) As an alternative for the unlocked iPhone 4, customers can also visit their local Apple Store to purchase an outright, unlocked iPhone 4 starting Friday July 30. There will be line-ups this weekend.

3.) For customers that want iPhone 4 locked on contracts with activations or upgrades (usually with promotional pricing), visit your local Apple Store or Canadian wireless dealer (Rogers, Bell, Virgin, Fido, Telus) store starting Friday July 30. There will be line-ups this weekend.

To summarize, if you want your iPhone 4 IMMEDIATELY, do either method 2 or method 3 above.

Also, at this time Apple has still not updated their iPhone 4 online store page to reflect iPhone 4 pricing or the official release date. The iPhone 4 store page still lists “Coming soon.”

    that seems odd…as square one (as well as most malls) lock their doors overnight….so i wonder if those ppl will get locked in when the doors lock at 10-1030pm…..hope this is the case so the line doesnt get too too long before morning

    Went to Market Mall here in Calgary at 9am. I have a Fido phone. I was second in line! Unreal! There were several hundred people lined up for the Apple Store. I had my phone and was out of the mall by 10:15.

    Fido only had 13 phones at this location (3 32Gb and 10 16Gb).

    In the same situation as you. For me, they said the contract wouldn't stack because 6 months or less in your contract means your eligible for renewal. This is different than an early hardware upgrade like others are doing that still have lots of time in the contract, which is why it stacks. Also, before you switch, call Fido and tell them you are planning to cancel (don't actually cancel since you need to be with them for rogers to switch you). They will likely offer a better plan to stay. I got a great deal this way from Fido since I was planning on switching to WIND and decided to stay. Waiting on an iPhone to accept. See what they have to say first.

    What’s really funny is that I received my notification from the Apple store that the phone was in after I arrived home with my phone.

    After all the waiting I finally have my iphone 4 now I find I can't actually hear a caller very well. The volume for music is fine, very good actually but I can barely hear the ring or speaker when I make a call. Does anyone else have the same problem and/or know how to solve it. I have tried the obvious such as turning the volume up lol.
