Apple Canada Retail Stores Open At 7AM For iPhone 4 Launch

Today, Apple finally updated the webpages for the company’s retail stores to reflect the iPhone 4 launch.

Canadian Apple Retail stores will open at 7AM on Friday July 30, 2010 for the iPhone 4 launch. There will be lines and it is first come, first served. As we have said previously, there is a limit of two iPhones per customer.

Arriving at your favourite Apple Retail Store on 30 July. Stores open at 7:00 a.m. iPhone 4 is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit two per person.

iPhone 4 Purchasing Methods

Canadians will have three methods to get their iPhone 4:

1.) Canadians will be able to order the unlocked, full price iPhone 4 16/32GB in Black through the Apple Canada Online Store starting Friday July 30. Any online orders are shipped to the billing address (no store pickup).

2.) As an alternative for the unlocked iPhone 4, customers can also visit their local Apple Store to purchase an outright, unlocked iPhone 4 starting Friday July 30. There will be line-ups this weekend.

3.) For customers that want iPhone 4 locked on contracts with activations or upgrades (usually with promotional pricing), visit your local Apple Store or Canadian wireless dealer (Rogers, Bell, Virgin, Fido, Telus) store starting Friday July 30. There will be line-ups this weekend.

To summarize, if you want your iPhone 4 IMMEDIATELY, do either method 2 or method 3 above.

Also, at this time Apple has still not updated their iPhone 4 online store page to reflect iPhone 4 pricing or the official release date. The iPhone 4 store page still lists “Coming soon.”

    Spoke with Southgate Centre mall security. He stated that doors will be open at 6:30 so I guess we'll be lining up outside near the starbucks.

    He also figured there would be an extra guard to ensure it wasn't a stampede to the apple store, luckily it's fairly close and a straight line. :D

    May change by Friday, but I guess I'll bring an umbrella too just in case.

    Yes, they will have to. They won't let people inside overnight obviously but they might let people in early in the AM through the security entrance (west side, hallway w/bathrooms). You may have to sign in. Not sure if they'll open up a big entrance though.

    Apple Stores will open at 7am, but other canadian wireless dealers like Fido Stores will open at their regular business hour…right? I'm thinking of going to Yorkdale, but I have to go to work by 9am!!!

    Call in 'sick' or say you will be late. And you are correct, carrier stores are just regular hours only Apple will be early. Your local carrier store could open early though, call them to find out more.

    I am from London, and am going to Best Buy in Masonville. I'm going with three other people (my husband, my brother-in-law and a friend) and I'm thinking we are going to get there between 4-5am. One of the girls that works there said they will have them for sure. I am activating a contract with Fido, as I am currently monthly with Telus.

    Gota question for you…so since I'm planning to port my numbers to Rogers(am with Fido) do I pay the upgrade price right at the Apple/Rogers store or am I going to pay it all through my first bill?

    ps: I'm 5 months left until my contract ends with Fido…so hopefully they'd let me get the phone at the HUP price…

    Yikes! 2am?! Do you think it's going to be really bad? I was in there today and I guess they launched that Starcraft video game and the lineup for THAT was pretty significant. Maybe I should rethink my strategy..

    If you're porting, the 16GB iPhone will cost $199. You will also likely be billed approximate $100 in termination fees from Fido.

    Hey there guys, just wondering if rogers on 32nd ave in calgary will getting an iphone 4 in stock on friday. I have been talking to rogers, and they wont even give any info for iphone, i even asked them if i am eligible to upgrade they say,, Sorry We Cant Tell YOU Until Iphone Arrives. plz reply.

    There will be huge liability issues. Your friend could be sued as well as the mall if someone were hurt. That being said, thank God that I work out and am fast. I for sure won’t be getting plowed over.

    There are tons of carrier stores in the city.. Why bother with the Apple store? I’m thinking I will be going to the Rogers Wireless on Wellington beside Bushtukah… Is my logic flawed here?

    I spoke with the lady answering the phones at Rideau Centre and she confirmed 100% that the mall will open at 6AM and NOT 5AM! She is aware the apple store is opening at 7AM but said they would not open the doors (all doors) earlier than 6AM

    Does anybody know what the procedure will be at the Square One Apple store in Mississauga? I know they open at 7am but what time will the mall open to let people in? Is there a designated mall entrance that people need to line up at?

    I just talked to my friend from rogers store; she said they are only getting 10 iphone 4 tomorrow!
    But they will have lots of iPhone 4s in stock starting from next tuesday :)
