AgileBits Debuts 1Password for Families Subscription Service

Last month, AgileBits updated 1Password apps for iPhone and iPad as well as for Mac OS X, making iCloud sync available to all. Today, the company is debuting 1Password for Families, which is a special plan with an amazing price, and also makes it easier than ever for family members to use 1Password.

“We wanted to find a way to make 1Password affordable and accessible for all families everywhere”, says Dave Teare, the founder of AgileBits. 1Password for Families costs $5 a month for a family of 5. There’s no sync service to set up, with vaults appearing automatically.

1Password for Families also offers an Admin Console where you can invite people and manage sharing with your family. Every family member gets their own copy of 1Password, and their own personal space to store private information. Best of all, 1Password for Families comes with all the 1Password apps (Mac, iOS, Windows, Android) at no extra charge.

1Password for Families is a subscription service and costs $5 a month for up to 5 family members. We like to call it our $5 for 5 plan 🙂

We know lots of you are already using 1Password today, so we want to make it easy for you to get started. We have a special deal for you if you sign up before Spring springs.

If you create an account before March 21st, you will get the following early-adopter perks:

    “amazing price”

how much has agilebits been paying you guys to post this stuff?

  • They’ve been paying us: $0

This isn’t an ad. Any sponsored posts are clearly stated on our site. We just are fans of AgileBits, a Canadian company that is killing it with 1Password.

I’m not sure I’d say amazing, but it is a good pricing option if you need multiple licences. This is a very good product by a company that’s on top of their game. I use it many times every day and would highly recommend it. Buying it this way will work for some people and not others. That’s okay.

While it’s still a ripoff this is a huge discount over their usual prices. Ditched them for Lastpass a few years ago. Originally lastpass was a little lacking in their user experience, but just continues to improve.
