Harry Potter Collection Gets 4K HDR Update in iTunes

Back in September, Apple started listing 4K HDR movies in iTunes, with existing owners getting free upgrades to their library to the higher resolution.

Now, iTunes has listed the complete Harry Potter 8-Film Collection in 4K HDR. The bundle retails for $79.99 CAD.

iTunes is continuing to list 4K HDR content, for owners of the latest Apple TV 4K, which starts at $229 CAD. Apple TV 4K supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, with Dolby Atmos “on the roadmap.” As for YouTube 4K HDR support on Apple TV 4K, that has still yet to come.

if you have purchases harry potter from itunes in 1080p and have a copy on your computer, which you watch on apple tv, then you buy a apple tv 4k, can you download a 4k version onto your computer? or is this for streaming only?

Streaming only for 4K, but I do believe the downloaded 1080p versions will be in HDR if you watch them on a compatible device such as a 2017 iPad Pro… so you may want to re-download them. ?
