Latest iPhone Ad Demonstrates UrbanSpoon

One of the first iPhone Apps I downloaded from the App Store was the intuitive restaurant choosing app, UrbanSpoon. This app took full advantage of the iPhone’s capabilities by allowing you to “shake” your iPhone to help you find a place to eat (check out JiggleU for a similar function). The app takes advantage of your GPS location to determine restaurants around you. You can filter by neighbourhood, cuisine, or place.

UrbanSpoon has now made it into the latest iPhone 3G commercial, called “Dilemma”. I think UrbanSpoon’s downloads are going to shoot through the roof now that it made it to the big time!

You can download UrbanSpoon for FREE via the App Store.

This was one of the first apps I got for the iPhone. I love showing off this app to my friends. I find it extrememly useful because of the rating sytem. It also has links to DineHere.ca, which I also like to use. This app gets better as more people give their ratings on restaurants whether they liked it or not. So people, your opinion matters. I would like to know what you think! :-). Anyone else hear about DevTeam jailbreaking 2.2 beta?

This is a pretty nifty app. I also like ‘Around Me’ because it not only gives restaurants, but banks, pharmacies, grocery stores as well.
