Word Jumbling With WordCrasher For iPhone

WordCrasher is a new word game for iPhone/iPod Touch.

WordCrasher by Kevin Ng

WordCrasher is a blend of spelling and Tetris style game play in that as letters fall, players must make words and prevent the letters from reaching the top of the screen.

Players receive points for every word they score, but longer and more rare words get extra points. As letters fall, players simply tap on the letters to select them and construct words.

Once a word is constructed, players may accept the word or deny the word, the latter of which will require the construction of a new word. Players can also deny individual letter selections by swiping rightward on the selected letter.

The game includes two game modes; Marathon and Flood Panic. Marathon is the regular game play mode where letters fall and players create words but Flood Panic adds a little twist.

In Flood Panic, the game play area begins to fill with water and essentially makes the speed of game play much faster in terms of finding words, as players are now racing against a clock. The game also includes online leaderboards, achievements, and both Facebook and Twitter support.

The game visuals are smooth and fast and the included music is very well done. The app is also 50% off until January 18, 2010, so jump on it!

WordCrasher is available on the iTunes App Store for $0.99.
