Ok because I am new to the whole iPhone universe I have been hearing mixed thoughts about the 3G iPhone and jailbreaking it. It is true it isn’t a true unlock, but more of the ability to only add non iTunes Store apps?

The 3G iPhone CANNOT be unlocked right now, the Dev Team has all that info at there website 😉 This can jailbreak ur 2G iPhone though.

On the second part of the quickpwn program it says choose firmware and makes me browse through my doucuments so I don’t know what I need to put
So, you should be upgraded to the latest Apple firmware before jailbreaking?
I’m wondering if I should wait until Apple updates the phone again, since we are still dealing with the sluggish typing and application changing problem.
Also, if a new firmware un-jailbreaks my phone, what will happen to my custom software on it? Will jailbreaking it again after make everything work again without losing anything?
Currently firmware 2.02 you can easily jailbreak using quickpwn which will not tamper your iphone, it simply jailbreak the current firmware your phone is. simpily to say you can always change again even when winpwn 2.5 is out.
Quickpwn can be use for 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 firmware.
