We are just days now before Apple’s annual World-Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) touches down on June 8, 2009! At the event, we are expecting to see more information and releases on iPhone OS 3.0, Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard, and the highly anticipated new iPhone.
However, it would seem that someone has grabbed a snapshot of what very well could be the new iPhone! The carrier in the top right corner indicates that it is an AT&T Sim Card in the iPhone and that it is still running 3G, so that may squash previous rumours of the new iPhone running 4G speeds. Check out the image below!

wwwoooww the phone looks reallyy good! A Front camera thats something unexpected by apple. A new design for a new iphone is a must to get us to buy the 3rd gen and definetaly they got us with that design!
It’s a new look. Sleek is nice… but the question is does it have new internal features that’ll make us get it? Most of us are stuck on a 3 yr contract and that’s another barrier.
It’s still 3G what about companies like Telus that’ll be introducing HSPA next year? Would that warrant me resigning for another 3 yrs? Not really. Looking at it I just feel like what I felt when I first saw the iPhone 2G … don’t buy because it was EDGE and wait next year for the next WWDC.
I think its a total fakery. AND IT’s FUGLY! If this is true (which i doubt) I give apple an epic Fail in design.

My guess is that this is a CG render. We’ve all seen lots of then before, and we will continue to get them in the future. Good work though, props to the artist.
Yeah, I think the pic of the front is kinda fake-ish.. but the pic of the back with the matte case might be true as it has already been speculated by some sources. As mentioned by a source in China (the country where the new iPhones are being assembled), the 3rd gen iPhones won’t have much of a change on the design and the only noticeable difference is the bezel that goes around the border of the phone (which in this case, might be true that they will go with a chrome instead of aluminum) Another red flag about this front facing camera. Not sure Apple will put another camera in an already underpowered and poor battery device. So all in all, if this were true, then kudos to Apple for the new design and screwing us iPhone 3G owners once again by releasing a much improved in designs and functionality in less than a year. So to all of you who are thinking of buying the new iPhone, my advice to you is to wait till next year to get the 4G or 5G iPhones for half the price of what you would pay for this one.
This has already been shown off on a few other Mac sites and been called out as a fake, but a really cool fake.
Every other rumour to date has claimed that the form factor has not changed. This doesn’t mean that there couldn’t be a larger screen as all people have seen so far are pictures of the back casing.
It has been shown that the earpiece is likely moved to the top like it is in this photo, so I am guessing that we could possibly see a larger screen on the new iPhone, but I doubt it would be slimmer and so far, there has been no evidence of a front facing camera.
The good news? We should all find out on Monday!
The questionable news… will my 3G with a shattered screen get replaced by this new one? Or will Rogers actually screw us by enforcing the new hardware upgrade policy of two years instead of one?

It is fake because… just like any other product from Apple that has a Camera built-in (i.e. iMac and MacBook) the tiny little green led only lit when the camera is in use. We can see clearly the camera is active while being on Google Maps. FAKE
