The iPad is a total joke… its WORSE than a laptop… and as a “tablet” it's a joke. Who wants to buy a giant iPod touch. I'm an avid apple fan and I wouldn't be caught dead using this.

Are you on a Mac or PC? Works fine on my MacBook

The thing with the iPad is that we all “set” expectations on a device that Apple NEVER commented on. Then, when we get something that we don't expect, we call it a failure. I agree the iPad is limiting, but for what it does, it does it well. I can see the iPad being a great fit for parents who only need to surf the web, send email, and look at pictures of their children/grandchildren. All the tech support is out the window!

Yup! I totally agree with Gary…….It's a simple media device for the non-tech users!

The only question I have is…….”Will you be able to tether?”

I don't see it as a joke. We all know it's not comparable to a netbook or a laptop in terms of specs. It is what it's design for and that is to compete with other ebook readers and it does very well reading books & newspaper with full colors. Adding the wifi and music are just bonuses which some other e-readers don't have. Oh I'm pretty sure a whole lot of people will buy this.
