This is something that I’ve been meaning to tell you, my loyal readers. When I first started this blog way back in late 2007, never in my wildest dreams did I expect our popularity would explode in such a short amount of time. Running this website has been my passion. However, the massive server costs associated with blog traffic took its toll. I wanted to shut it down.
Stressed with my day job and running iPhoneinCanada.ca full steam at night, I decided our exit strategy. That was until I received that unexpected email from Yellow Pages Inc. This Canadian company has been on a roll lately acquiring Canadian web properties, and as lady luck would have it, we got bailed out just in time. Thanks for the 2.5 years everyone–it was an amazing run. On behalf of the entire iPhoneinCanada.ca team–thank you, and we’ll miss you.

For the first half of the article I actually thought it was true, but then I realised it was written on the 1st of April. I did raise an eyebrow when I read that Yellow Pages was the buyer, when everybody knows that the Local business directory is much more active online and could make better use of iphoneincanada than the yellow pages. Great april fools joke!
