Android OS Now Available on the iPhone 3G
We saw the video of the Android OS running on the first generation iPhone and the iPhone 3G. As of today you can now download Android OS and make it run on your iPhone 3G should you choose to do so. All of this hard work comes at the hands of iPhone Dev Team member, Planetbeing and everybody who has helped him. Why would you want Android on your iPhone? There’s no other reason other than “because you can”.
Planetbeing also is a guest writer on PC World, where he has detailed instructions on how to port Android OS onto your iPhone 2G and 3G. Well done guys!

Brillaient! once these guys bump it up to 3Gs Ports, could this help apple kick Googles Android to the curb? haha buy 1 iphone, Duel Boot. getting the best of both worlds 😛
no not at all because by definition Google's Android is open sourced….its free regardless (including source code). you're free to do with it what you want.
also a large portion of people that dont want to set up (or dont know how to set up) the dualboot that primarily want android will probably end up buying an andoid based phone.
all this can do for Google is give them more free exposure. it can't harm them just make them stronger 🙂
Yeah I know heh my comment was more on the side of the jailbreaker nation who knows all about this stuff. A bit of over exaduration too 😛
Android will kick itself to the curb it they can't come up with a better way to streamline OS updates across all devices and not have to rely on carriers!
Yeah, I remember reading about the lack of updates, or the ability to do so.
And I just don't get a smartphone built with android because…?
