Best Buy Advertises iPhone 4 Accessories Before iPhone 4 Launch
It is six days before the iPhone 4 launch in Canada and Best Buy has started to advertise their selection of iPhone 4 accessories in store! A little early but hey, good effort!
While the company does not have any specific iPhone 4 cases or accessories listed on their website, they do urge customers to check in-store.
Visiting the Best Buy Mobile page, users are welcomed with the following splash page messages:
Best selection of iPhone 4 accessories available in-store today!
Best Buy Mobile is the ultimate destination for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4 accessories. Check back each week as we had more hot iPhone 4 sku’s to our line up. Selection may vary by store.
Keep it mind that Apple will be giving iPhone 4 customers a free case, but if you need additional items, Best Buy will be one of the many retailers to check out for iPhone 4 accessories.
So if you want to jump on the Best Buy case selection, check it out but purchasing an iPhone 4 case now might not do you any good until next week.

Bestbuy website Cellphone section posted it will have the iPhone 4 on July 30.
um, our consumerism society would not be possible without cheap labour overseas. It's still cost effective to build things half way around the world and ship them over here. Think an iPhone is expensive now? Imagine if they payed the workers $20 an hour with full benefits. It would be at least a $1000. Just saying. 😉
Little off topic but I just want to clarify something. The ONLY way I can get an unlocked phone is if I wait in line at the Apple store on the 30th? I would much rather hit up Best Buy or Futureshop if I could.

Those are accessories, but do we know how we'll be able to “obtain” it. Even though it's unlocked, from what I understand so far, only Bell is able to “confirm” that the device will be available on the 30th.
That's a bad shot from our Canadian Phone companies to not benefit from the large popularity of the iPhone … I mean, we don't even know if Rogers or Telus will be able to offer it on the 30th or if they'll only supply the cards for the ones who got an unlocked iPhone. Will it be only for pre-orders through their counters/website ? No info AT ALL …
In May, US users had already the details of this whole deployment coming for them in June. We're less than a full week from the Canadian deployment and we're all clueless …
Yea , thank apple for not letting us pre-order like the US did. Considering the percentage of canadians that will purchase iphone 4 Vs the amount that did in the US i think we should have been able to pre-order . Our population is no where close to the USA
I woudn't just blame the carriers for lack of info. have you visited apple.ca recently ? no new info since US launch. Also i don't think the US users knew when the phone was going to be released until june @ WWDC.

that's not what i said. there will be no pre-orders. after launch i'm sure it will be on apple.ca , but whether or not its available to ship to you is another story.
I'd rather wait then line up with sweaty nerds and waste my time. It's just a phone so no point in lining up. Maybe Apple will ship the free bumper as well if you order from their site.
the iphone is a awesome product that delivers all that its hyped up to be , i think millions would agree that it's more than just a phone. i'm not saying that as some apple fanboy as a consumer who has used windows and blackberry devices that cannot do things as smoothly as this devise.

What I was told from a Best Buy person is you gotta send all your info to Apple and they send you the case, rather then you just getting a free case when you buy the phone. Although I think if you get it straight from a Bell or Rogers center you get the case right then and there, but that's just my understanding.
Definitely no. A carrier store will not give you the free bumper.
Oh my god, I'm not looking forward to that. I would ask on what side of Market Mall the line up will start at, but somehow I think it's going to be pretty evident x_x
There have been no, pre orders mentioned yet so until apple says yes/no we have no idea. The site didn't bother to update the new release day, I believe is because they are still unsure of #'s. When they update the store it's done for 17 countries. Most people aren't looking to pay full price for an unlock phone so we could very well see pre orders for those early in the week.
I'm just saying all this to convince myself, I have no Idea whats going on. : ) just give my my blinking iphone already so I can start lusting over a new Ipad.
Hey Canuck. I hate to break it to ya but you are here posting about cell phones and that makes you just as much as a nerd as anyone else here. And I'm not sweaty, I was born without sweat glands and have a severe allergic reaction to flannel, peanuts……oh and also any form of rubber, but I'm no nerd : ) Oh, on that note if anyone finds a black and red pocket protector it's mine. There will be no preorders. Apple has never done so for Canada and (apparently) never will, especially with <6 days until release. Get to your local BellRogersTelusApple store early Friday morning and clear up a few hours that day.
I called my Bell store yesterday. They are ordering phones on the 24th (today). My mall will open at 8:00am and my Bell store 10:00am.

I jus called the apple store at pacific mall vancouver and the guy told me that they havent received any stocks of iphone 4 and they dnt knw if they will be selling it or doing pre order all he said was the public announcement was made but after that they havent received a word from apple about iphone 4. this could possibly mean that there could be iphone 4 delays

As employees (me being one) we have gotten scheduling and everything and the july 30th date but we are not allowed to talk about it until its on Apple.ca its just policy, one of my managers said some of the information they have is extremly confidential and cant be shared with us yet but i wouldnt worry everything points to a release for july 30th
I went to bestbuy today in the montreal aera and the iphone 4 accessories they have are crap. Nothing interresting. And also, I got my iphone 4 preordered already by a company in montreal that deals with the engineers order of Quebec. They are ordering the phones this coming monday and they reserved one apparently for me tht I'll be able to get either on friday or on monday. I don't know if it is true but the girl told me they were pretty much the only company doing that. She even called me home after I had asked her information two weeks ago about the iphone 4 availability at their store. She had my phone number and called me friday to let me preorder it. Isn't this nice! Let's wait and see if I'll actually get it on friday!

yes you are right and i just checked bestbuy mobile page for canada and on it they say that they will launch iphone 4 on july 30th for all major carriers and i called them to confirm and they said yes its coming on july 30th. just wondering do u knw when they will update apple.ca for iphone 4 and also for apple store in pacific mall in vancouver opens at 9 or 10 am can u suggest me how early i shud get there to be garaunteed one.

Apple Guy. I dont mean any disrespect but do your employee (bestbuy and/or Futureshop) Really get any training? Every time i go i deal with dumb teenagers lol. trying to tell me incorrect information, trying to push that their idea is right, and how im wrong, but have been a technician for 10 years lol

Two per customer
I've got a question about the locked phones: Fido offered me a retention package for signing a 3 year contract when I get my new iphone, but I have to call them back when I activate the new phone to implement the new plan I guess. But could I buy my new phone from an Apple store instead of Fido and still get this new plan (I'm afraid Fido might sell out quicker than Apple)? Apple sells carrier locked phones, correct? But how does it work? Do they sign you up with Rogers/Telus/Bell etc. contracts at the store?
They can yes. If fido chooses to remember your special plan. This has
happen to me and some of my friends before. They will offer you a
great plan, your all happy now. When it comes time to cash in, they
don't remember, and there is no record of it lol. Hopefully it goes
well for you.
But yes apple can set you up with plans too.

Xaroc i work at an apple store cant say which one cause i can get in trouble but yeah, i can tell you we get lots of training at the apple store and we make sure we are as prepared as we can for product launches
