Telus To Soon Announce HSPA+ Coverage In Saskatchewan?

Saskatchewan customers have some more good news this week, this time from Telus.

With SaskTel launching their new 3G+ network and opening up access to the iPhone on SaskTel, Telus now seems to want a piece of the action.

While there has been no official announcement yet, it seems that Telus will soon be launching their HSPA+ network in Saskatchewan!

Taking a look at the Telus coverage maps shows coverage around the core and surrounding cities of Saskatchewan. There has been no announcement of available devices, but the Telus HSPA+ network in Saskatchewan opens up availability to devices such as the iPhone.

Stay tuned!

I called Telus the other day and they told me that, while they couldn’t give me a definite date for when they would begin using the 3G+ network, they would assure me that their “full lineup” of devices should be available (iPhone 4 included).

Telus isn’t launching their own network in Saskatchewan. They’re using SaskTel’s network, as is Bell.

That’s correct, Telus, Bell and SaskTel have a 10 year network sharing agreement.

The sales person at Telus told me this morning that Telus is having some troubles with the network so Best Buy can’t sell the iPhone yet.
