Facebook Integration Coming to Skype iPhone App?
Using Skype to call friends is pretty easy when your contact list is integrated. But what if you could further entrench your entire Facebook connects with Skype? The latest rumour is that Facebook will be partnering with Skype on their desktop software, in version 5.0 which should be coming soon.
This information was sent anonymously to Kara Swisher from All Things Digital. My estimation is that Skype would eventually build in Facebook Connect with their iPhone app too. I envision the ability to use FaceTime and make calls to your Facebook friends straight from your iPhone.
Actually, according to sources close to the situation, Facebook and Skype are poised to announce a significant and wide-ranging partnership that will include integration of SMS, voice chat and Facebook Connect.
The move by the pair–which have tested small contact importer integrations before–is a natural one for the social networking giant, which is aiming to be the central communications and messaging platform for its users, across a range of media.
What do you think? Would you welcome Facebook integration with the Skype iPhone app?

Sounds interesting but I would much rather see Skype integrate the use of the front facing camera on the iPhone 4, so you could video chat over Skype with other platforms.
I agree with andrewwiebe
Me too.
why the hell does your site have ads for a company selling fake iPhone knockoffs? I’m completely stunned, the money isn’t worth it guys, you had a loyal reader and fan of the podcast but with the obvious “sponsored” reviews, constant plugs for Zagg products and now google ads for rip-off phones….wow…
Why do you need to look at the adds any way!! Schmuck!
First off it was a box advertising the HiPhone 4 which has been clearly identified as basically an iPhone 4 fraud/fake. Secondly it is “ads” not “adds” and adding exclamation points doesn’t make you seem any smarter. moron.

me to, it would be nice to actually use the fount facing camera. As of now I have played with face time, as my wife does have the iP4 but it would be nice to talk to others with skype and their webcams.
The exclamation points are there to emphasize that you’re a schmuck. Now go spell check on some other forum.
awww, did you get your little feelings hurt? The point is this ad should not be on what is a legitimate iPhone blog. No need to get your panties in a bunch.
