Apple has a live event scheduled for later today (October 20, 2010) at 10:00 a.m. (PDT). The invitation (shown below) simply says “Back to the Mac”. Most expect Apple to announce their next next version of OS X, and new a MacBook Air. Unlike the September music event, it doesn’t look like Apple is streaming the event live. Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives.
TWIT.TV always does a great job of covering these events, and often has live audio and video. Tomorrow they plan to cover the event live, and then follow it with an episode of MacBreak Weekly. You can watch the video at TWIT Live. (Video works on the iPhone)
TWIT.TV usually has the most complete coverage, but there are several sites that do a great job of live blogging. Here are some of the best:

Weeeee… can’t wait! Almost time for a new Mac Pro.
That’s my combo too. I haven’t ruled out Apple streaming it, but it seems unlikely.

According to Ars Technica the event WILL be live streamed (good news :):
“Apple will stream today’s Back To Mac event. You’ll need Snow Leopard and Safari or an iOS device running v3.0 or higher to watch. Ars is also liveblogging the event.”
