Bell Says Quebec City Is Getting a New Area Code and Here’s What Changes
Quebec is getting another new area code. Starting February 27, 2027, the 273 area code will be added to the region currently served by 367, 418 and 581, covering major centres like Quebec City, Saguenay, Lévis and Rimouski. The new code is being introduced because the existing area codes are running low on available numbers....
That’s barely a change. I’m paying 50 for the same features but half the data. they bumped up the price 5 bucks and doubled the data. not that big of a deal at all. why can’t they include caller I’d and voicemail? it’s hard to believe these features have to be added to plans.
Why would they come standard with plans? It’s a service that isn’t required for the phone. You can still have all the functionality of the phone without the call display or voice mail. That’s like going to get your tires changed and expecting them to throw in a free oil change.
Beginning of November, I was shopping around for student plans. This is basically matching Telus’ plan but you don’t get voice mail with Bell. Rogers I think is still $50 but with half the data and with only MY5 vs FAB10. Still expensive if you ask me consider is doesn’t even come with caller ID and voice mail. I tried calling each of the Big 3 to try to transfer as a new customer with the condition they offer free Caller ID and Voice Mail on inclusive in the $50 price but they couldn’t do it so I stuck with my Fido retention plan =) My findings: Rogers will not budge for anything or anyone. Bell will try to offer you $10 for CD/VM but that was over my budget and they told me there was nothing they could do. Telus was already $55 so it was over my budget anyways.
OK, then is why call forwarding, call conferencing included? Don’t really need these either for the phone service. It’s not like you can drop those in exchange for vm and cd, which to most people would be more useful. Its called fleecing as far as I’m concerned; throw in a bunch rarely used features so customers fell like they are getting “value”, but charge extra for what they really want. Hell, at least Virgin(owned by Bell) gives you the option on their $50 plan, it’s either unlimited texting OR vm and cd.
This plan is amazing! You have 10 unlimited numbers to call txt plus you can change these 10 number each month on line! Not to mention 1G of data! Thx ! Bell, you finally got it ! I just sign up with you for 3 years!
