Bell Sweeps Speedtest Awards, Crowned Best Mobile Network in Canada
Bell has swept up 10 Speedtest Awards in the latest round of independent testing from Ookla, with the results covering both internet and wireless performance, released today.
On the internet side, Bell took Best Internet, Fastest Internet, Top-Rated Internet, and Best ISP Gaming Experience. On wireless, it grabbed Fastest 5G Network, Best 5G Network, Fastest Mobile Network, and Best Mobile Gaming Experience. It also picked up a new one this time around: Canada’s Best Mobile Network.
Bell has been pouring money into its network for a while now, including the launch of Always-On Internet and the rollout of 5G+ Advanced. The carrier says all of that is meant to carry the next wave of mobile tech, with some early groundwork for 6G already in motion. That same network is currently handling traffic from big events like the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Here’s how Bell compares to Rogers and Telus in the Best Mobile Network category, where it edges out its rivals:
“Earning 10 Speedtest Awards, including a new distinction for Canada’s Best Mobile Network, underscores Bell’s strength across a broad range of connectivity experiences. These results demonstrate Bell’s sustained commitment to delivering industry-leading connectivity experiences,” said Stephen Bye, President and CEO of Ookla, an Accenture company, in a statement to iPhone in Canada on Tuesday.
Pair the Ookla results with Bell’s recent wins from Opensignal and the carrier is looks to be leading in speed, quality, and reliability compared to its rivals Rogers and Telus, according to the latest data.
