You Can Now Jailbreak iOS 16.4.1 with Palera1n 2.0.0 Beta 6
Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.
[Updated] Video: Dev Team Successful with Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak
MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev Team just tweeted that he got an untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak working (video coming soon) that uses iOS 4.2b3 hashes that were kept on Cydia.
This latest method is a ‘backup plan’ as @comex is hard at work on an extensible untethered jailbreak. This new method does not exploit any new holes, so it will be safe for iOS 4.3 and will work on all devices. MuscleNerd tested this on an iPod Touch 4G. We’ll update this post with the video as it goes live.

That’s great news. Untethered jailbreak is not for everybody and has its inconveniences. On the iPad and iPod Touch, it’s not really a problem. But with the iPhone, it’s such a dealbreaker.
what’s the inconveniences of having an untethered jailbreak that it’s a a dealbreaker for iphone?

Yeah man. I remember back with blackrain tethered JB back for new bootrom 3GS. I was at work listening to music and my phone crashed within the first hour of work. No music, no texting on the way home, no emails. I thought I was going to suffer from withdraws lol
I used to get them mixed up too. Untethered is a good thing guys. It means you DON’T have to connect it to your computer.
